Biography
Taryn completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing through the University of Regina in 2015 before gaining more than 10 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a variety of clinical settings. Throughout her nursing career, she has worked in medicine, surgery, telemetry/cardiac care, women’s health, pediatrics, and HealthLine 811, developing a broad foundation in caring for patients across the lifespan.
She went on to complete her Master of Nursing – Nurse Practitioner degree through the University of Regina in 2024, driven by a passion for expanding access to high-quality primary care. As a Nurse Practitioner, Taryn provides comprehensive family practice services for patients of all ages, including prenatal care, pediatric care, chronic disease management, mental health, preventative health, and the assessment and treatment of acute illnesses.
Her clinical training included placements in both urban and rural communities throughout Saskatchewan, including Regina, Indian Head, Meadow Lake, Cupar, Regina Beach, Southey, and Moosomin. These diverse experiences have strengthened her commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centred care tailored to the unique needs of each individual and family.
Taryn has full prescriptive authority and is able to diagnose and treat medical conditions, prescribe medications, order and interpret laboratory tests and diagnostic imaging, make referrals to specialists and allied health professionals, and perform procedures including Pap tests, skin biopsies, and lesion removal. She is committed to lifelong learning and continues to pursue professional development to provide the highest quality care to her patients.
Outside of work, Taryn enjoys travelling, spending time outdoors, and making memories with family and friends.
She looks forward to building lasting therapeutic relationships with her patients and partnering with them to achieve their health and wellness goals.
