Nurse Practitioner Services: For Personalized Healthcare & Wellness for All Ages

Haas Health is pleased to offer publicly funded Nurse Practitioner services at our Rochdale location.
All of our Nurse Practitioners hold contracts with the Saskatchewan Ministry of Health as primary care providers. As a result, Nurse Practitioner appointments are publicly funded for patients with a valid Saskatchewan Health Card, and there is no appointment fee for insured Nurse Practitioner visits.

As primary care providers, our Nurse Practitioners can provide comprehensive ongoing care, including ordering lab work and diagnostic investigations, prescribing medications, making referrals to specialists and other health-care services, managing chronic conditions, providing preventative care, and addressing acute and ongoing health concerns. Eligible lab work, specialist consultations and investigations, including X-ray and ultrasound, are covered through provincial health care.
Please note that fees may still apply for non-insured services, such as completion of forms, medical notes, insurance documentation, or other third-party requests.

IMPORTANT: Nurse Practitioners ARE Primary Care Providers

A Nurse Practitioner and a Family Physician can both serve as your primary care provider.
Our Nurse Practitioners are not being offered as an additional or secondary primary care provider alongside your existing family physician. They are accepting patients who are looking to establish ongoing primary care with a Nurse Practitioner.
If you already have a family physician or another primary care provider whom you intend to continue seeing for your ongoing primary care, please do not book a Meet & Greet with one of our Nurse Practitioners.
When you book a new-patient Meet & Greet, you are confirming that you are looking to establish that Nurse Practitioner as your primary care provider. This means the Nurse Practitioner will take responsibility for managing your ongoing primary care, including your routine health concerns, prescriptions, investigations, referrals, preventative care and follow-up.
A Meet & Greet is therefore not an appointment to add a Nurse Practitioner to your existing primary care team while continuing to use another provider for the same ongoing primary care needs.
This distinction is important for continuity of care and helps ensure that our limited primary care spaces remain available for individuals who are actively seeking a primary care provider.

We are pleased to have four Nurse Practitioners providing primary care services at
Haas Health’s Rochdale location.

Nicole Scott, MN, RN(NP) is currently at full capacity and is not accepting new patients.
Calle Goeres, MN, RN(NP), Suzanne Storey, MN, RN(NP), and Taryn Runge, MN, RN(NP) are currently accepting new patients as appointment availability allows.

Becoming a New Patient
Due to the significant administrative demands involved in maintaining and managing a waitlist,
Haas Health is not currently maintaining a Nurse Practitioner waitlist.
Our Nurse Practitioners schedule new-patient Meet & Greet appointments several months in advance, and these appointments can fill quickly. As their schedules allow, they periodically open additional Meet & Greet appointments for future dates.
These appointments are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
If you are looking to become a new Nurse Practitioner patient, please call our Rochdale office at 306-559-6469. If a Meet & Greet appointment is available when you call, our administrative team will be happy to offer you the next available appointment.
If there are no Meet & Greet appointments available at that time, you may be asked to call back periodically to check for new openings. Additional appointments will continue to become available as our Nurse Practitioners are able to open further dates in their schedules.

A Note About Voicemail & Call-Back Requests
Due to the very high volume of inquiries we receive from individuals looking for a Nurse Practitioner, we are unfortunately unable to return voicemail messages requesting an initial Meet & Greet appointment or asking to be contacted
when a new-patient appointment becomes available.
We recognize that this may be frustrating. However, returning and tracking these calls would essentially create another form of waitlist, which we are not able to manage with our current administrative resources.
As noted in our after-hours voicemail, the best way to secure a new-patient Meet & Greet is to call the Rochdale office periodically during regular business hours. If appointments are available when you call, they will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
Please be assured that this applies specifically to inquiries regarding new-patient Meet & Greet appointments. Our administrative team will continue to return messages regarding existing appointments, appointment changes, and concerns
or needs of current Haas Health patients, as appropriate.
We understand that accessing primary care can be challenging, and we truly appreciate your patience and understanding. This process allows our administrative and clinical teams to support our current patients while continuing to offer new-patient appointments as capacity becomes available.

Nurse Practitioners are able to be family care providers. Anything that you might see your family physician or a walk in clinic for, a nurse practitioner can help you with! Nurse Practitioners do not practice under physicians. They are able to work independently.
