Acupuncture in Emerald Park
Acupuncture with Dr. Jodi Parkinson, DC, as part of your chiropractic care at Haas Health.
Acupuncture as Part of Your Care
At Haas Health, acupuncture can be done as part of your chiropractic care, or on its own as a separate service. Dr. Jodi uses it alongside or as an option to diversified manual adjusting and soft tissue techniques for neuromusculoskeletal conditions, the joints, muscles and nerves behind how you move.
Thin needles are placed at specific points, as one part of a treatment plan built around your condition, your goals and your comfort level. The aim is the same as the rest of your care: to help you improve your mobility, reduce pain and get back to your daily activities with confidence.

Meet Dr. Jodi Parkinson
Dr. Jodi graduated from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 2011, then spent twelve years building and running her own family chiropractic practice in Hamilton, Ontario. She also holds a Certificate in Clinical Acupuncture from the same school. She moved to Regina in 2023 and now sees patients at our Emerald Park clinic. Her training covers diversified manual adjusting, soft tissue techniques and acupuncture, so acupuncture is one of the tools she can bring into your plan when it fits.
You can read more about her on Dr. Jodi’s profile.
How Booking Works
1. Start with an initial chiropractic assessment (45 minutes, $100). She goes through your health history, your current concerns and how you move, then does a physical assessment. Treatment can start at that first visit and may include an adjustment, soft tissue work, acupuncture, mobility or rehabilitation exercises, and education.
2. Decide on your plan together. If acupuncture suits your goals, Dr. Jodi explains why and how it fits with the rest of your care, and the decision is yours to make with her.
3. Acupuncture follow-ups (30 minutes, $90). Once acupuncture is part of your plan, these visits give extra time for it, along with checking your progress and continuing your treatment.
Every chiropractic fee is listed on our fees and pricing page.

Questions About Acupuncture
Do I need a referral?
No. You can book chiropractic care at Haas Health without a referral. Some insurance providers ask for a physician’s referral before they reimburse, so it is worth checking your plan first. Our new client guide answers more first-visit questions.
Do you direct bill insurance?
Acupuncture with Dr. Jodi is billed as a chiropractic service, and we direct bill most insurance providers in Canada for chiropractic services. Bring your benefits information and our front desk takes care of the billing. See our direct billing page for details.
What should I wear?
Comfortable clothing you can move in. Depending on the area being treated, shorts or a loose top can help, and your chiropractor will guide you.
Is my appointment private?
Yes. Every appointment is in a completely private treatment room.
How many sessions will I need?
That depends on you. She will outline a personal timeline with you after your initial assessment.
Is there anything I should tell Dr. Jodi first?
She goes through your health history and consent with you at your first visit. Let her know if you take blood thinners, since they may be a reason acupuncture isn’t the right fit for you.
Is acupuncture the same as dry needling?
Dry needling is a specific technique within the umbrella of acupuncture. At Haas Health, our physiotherapists use this technique as part of physiotherapy treatment. Acupuncture is a more comprehensive treatment offered by Dr. Jodi as part of chiropractic care, and it can include elements of dry needling when that is indicated. If you are not sure which suits you, ask at your assessment.
